The impulse to portray and fix a person is a spontaneous and essential feature to human beings. In order to paint a right portrait it is basic to go beyond photographic resemblance. workshopThe point is to reflect the person, not only physically but also in their essence. In a portrait the face and the expression are predominant. We must intend to show the subject's resemblance, personality and even mood. To achieve this in an effective way, it is necessary for the artist to have a wide experience and a great capacity for work.

How to place an order for a portrait?

The easiest way is to contact the artist by phone or e-amil to discuss the idea, the technique, style, format, etc. Then, there are two options:

  • Personal contact. The artist himself takes the photographs of the portrayed person, he does sketches from life, studies the model. This can be done at the artist's workshop or, if possible, the artist can go to the place chosen by the model. In this case, the artist intends to deliver the final work in hand, so that there is the possibility of completing the work with the model posing to get better results.

  • Phone or e-mail contact. The model's photographs are sent to the artist and they must be approved by him. The painter would send the model several photographs to show the work progress, and one of the final work to get the model's approval. The final work is sent properly packaged by courier company.
